Guwahati, May 11: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently made a bold assertion, stating that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will inevitably become a part of India.
Responding to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s remarks about the ‘Pulwama attack’, Sarma emphasized, “He may be raising questions on the surgical strike, but the Indian flag is getting hoisted in PoK today. In the next few years, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will also come to India.”
While campaigning for BJP candidate Girraj Singh in Begusarai, Sarma underscored the NDA’s ability to provide stable governance and fulfill Bihar’s aspirations.

During an election rally in Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, Sarma asserted that the BJP-led NDA must secure at least 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls to accomplish several “unfinished tasks.”
He also addressed the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in West Bengal, stating that the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government would not be able to hinder its enforcement.
Sarma highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s consistent emphasis on securing 400 Lok Sabha seats, indicating the significance of this target.
