India International Trade Fair 2021: Assam Pavilion at India’s largest trade fair

Assam, Nov 15: India International Trade Fair (IITF), 2021, the country’s largest trade fair, commenced at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This year the theme of IITF is ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat- Self Reliant India‘.

Assam Pavilion at India International Trade Fair has been organized in a space measuring 612 sq. metres under the aegis of the Industries and Commerce Department. In the IITF 2021 four start-ups, 25 MSMEs, and six government departments/agencies have represented Assam at IITF.

Going with the theme of IITF – 2021, live demonstration of muga yarn reeling, muga weaving, bamboo cutlery making, water hyacinth, and sital pati craft (mat weaving) are being showcased at the Assam Pavilion.

Besides, the promotion of Assam Startup and Assam Tea have been given major thrust and emphasis. Dr KK Dwivedi who is the Principal Secretary of, Industries, Commerce, and Public Enterprises Department inaugurated the pavilion.

During his interaction with the participants, Dr Dwivedi urged all of them to explore the market for the export of their products. He further urged to learn from the participants’ product design and packaging from other States and countries.
