Ayodhya, Jan 22: After the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to the judiciary, acknowledging their role in ensuring justice in the legal battle over the existence of Lord Ram.

During the address to the gathering, PM Modi said, “The legal battle over the existence of Lord Ram went on for decades. I would like to express my gratitude to the judiciary of India for doing justice.”

He shared that he could still feel the divine vibrations experienced during the consecration ceremony inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple.

The Supreme Court‘s landmark verdict in 2019 ruled that the entire 2.77 acres of disputed land in Ayodhya should be handed over to a trust for the construction of the Ram temple. Additionally, the court allotted five acres of land at a ‘prominent site’ in Ayodhya for the construction of a mosque.

The 1,045-page verdict emphasized that “on a balance of probabilities, the evidence of possessory claim of the Hindus… stands on a better footing than the evidence given by the Muslims.”

The consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple took place on Monday, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The event, witnessed by millions on television across the country, included Army helicopters showering flower petals on the newly constructed Janmabhoomi temple during the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony.

Following the sanctum sanctorum events, Modi addressed a gathering of approximately 8,000 individuals, including seers, Ram Janmabhoomi movement participants, and notable figures from entertainment, sports, and industry. The consecration marked a significant moment in India’s political and religious history.
