NorthEast India, Oct 15: Air Marshal SP Dharkar, the AOC-in-C of the Eastern Command, emphasized the presence of a robust Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) network that functions as a protective shield across the entire country, including the Northeastern region.
Responding to a query about the Indian Air Force’s response capabilities in challenging situations, especially when compared to the current situation in Israel, Air Marshal SP Dharkar highlighted the unique geographical challenges in the Northeastern region.
He pointed out that the Northeastern border shares proximity with five different countries, each with its distinct terrains. This vast and varied border landscape presents specific challenges. However, Air Marshal Dharkar assured that the Indian Air Force has an efficient defense mechanism in place.
The Integrated Air Command and Control System, or IACCS, is a comprehensive network that extends into the Northeast and plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the region. Despite the unique geographical challenges posed by the Northeast, the IACCS ensures the country’s security by employing modern techniques and equipment.
