JP Nadda discussed problems faced by local people in Bengal

Bengal, Dec 9: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has kick-started its campaign in West Bengal with party President JP Nadda. This is done to boost the grass-root cadre.

Nadda holds a meeting with the residents of the slum area. The program was held at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (IICR) centre in Kolkata.

At least 250 people from slums area have attended this program with the BJP nation president.

“I belong to Kolkata. I am the convener of the West Bengal Basti Unnayan Cell. My name is Abodh Kishor Gupta. I informed Nadda Ji about the tribulations that the residents of the slums of this area are facing. These residents also brought into light their issues and troubles to Nadda Ji. Two hundred and fifty people came and Nadda Ji confronted ten people amongst them, asked those questions, and answered their questions and doubts,” said Abodh Kishor Gupta, Convener, West Bengal Basti Unnayan Cell.

Kishor added that the people of Bengal believe that all the problems will solve once BJP will be in power.

“As a common solution to all the problems these people came up with, Nadda Ji said that if BJP is brought under power in 2021, then all these problems will find a resolution. I had documented these tribulations and sent it to Nadda Ji. I wrote about the problems these residents are facing regarding drinking water, toiletries, etc. It’s been around three hundred and fifty years, why does ‘tali bari’ still exist in Kolkata metropolitan city? Why these houses are still not being converted into multi-storied buildings to provide that to the poor people?” Kishore added.

Nadda has promised the people that all the problems will be resolved once BJP will be in power.

“These are the issues that are to be looked upon. I am very happy that I conveyed these problems to Nadda Ji. All the leaders of our party work only for the public. They don’t work for themselves. They don’t work for their family. This is the unique selling proposition of our party. Nadda Ji and me, we are always incessantly conversing on these issues. Also, we always want to hear from the residents of the slums about their problems. That is what happened today. In 2021, BJP is coming into power and then these issues will be resolved,” Abodh further added.

After having a fruitful interaction with the local people, Nadda also holds a meeting with the Bengal BJP leaders along with Kailash Vijyavargiya.

Earlier today, Nadda arrived in Kolkata to a rousing welcome. Scores of party workers gathered at the airport here to receive Nadda who is on a two-day visit to the poll-bound state.

During his stay here, Nadda will review the preparations of the party for the April-May 2021 Assembly elections and launch a door-to-door campaign. He will also participate in various programs aimed at strengthening the party organization.

Nadda inaugurates an election management room at BJP’s office. He also virtually unveil party offices in nine districts of the state.

Party President JP Nadda also participated in the door to door campaign under the BJP’s Aar Noi Annay campaign in Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Assembly constituency, Bhawanipore.
