Itanagar, April 05: Longding Police in Arunachal Pradesh made a significant seizure of Rs 1 crore from a vehicle following the convoy of Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma in Longding district.

The incident occurred as the Meghalaya Chief Minister embarked on a four-day visit to various locations in Arunachal Pradesh, including Longding, Tezu, and Basar.

According to Longding’s Superintendent of Police, Dekio Gumja, the cash was discovered during a routine check at the Kanubari check post around 3:30 pm.

The seized cash was reportedly linked to an individual named Harshvardhan Singh, although further details about the ownership or purpose of the money were not immediately provided.

It remains uncertain whether the vehicle in question was directly associated with the convoy or was traveling separately at the time of the interception.
