The train bombings, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition in Ayodhya, resulted in two deaths and numerous injuries.

Despite being considered the mastermind of the 1993 train blasts case by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Tunda was acquitted in the 1997 twin Rohtak blast cases in Haryana last year due to insufficient evidence.

Tunda, a resident of Pilkhua in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district, has faced several legal battles over the years.
