Ayodhya, Jan 21: Ayodhya, the sacred city, is adorned with intricate artwork depicting Lord Ram as it eagerly anticipates the ‘Pran Prathishtha’ ceremony, marking the inauguration of the grand Ram Temple.

The entire city is illuminated, with flyovers and streetlights featuring cutouts of Lord Ram’s iconic bow and arrow. Even the ornamental lamp posts are intricately designed with traditional ‘Ramanandi tilak’ motifs.

Rituals and Events Unveiled for the Consecration Ceremony

Completion of Pran Pratishtha Rituals

  • Seven-Day Rituals: Commencing on January 16, the seven-day rituals will culminate on January 22 with the consecration of Lord Ram in the temple.
  • Timing: The Chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra mentioned that the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram is set to conclude by 12:30 pm, allowing devotees to have a ‘darshan’ thereafter.

Couples as ‘Yajmans’ for Consecration

  • 14 Invited Couples: Couples from various parts of India have been invited to participate as ‘mukhya yajmans’ during the consecration ceremony.
  • Geographical Diversity: The list includes couples from north, east, west, south, and northeast India, symbolizing unity and diversity.

Musical Extravaganza ‘Mangal Dhwani’

  • Event Title: The Pran Pratishtha ceremony will be marked by a musical event titled ‘Mangal Dhwani,’ commencing at 10 am.

Largest Floating Screen at Saryu Ghat

  • Live Telecast: While the ceremony will be telecast live at various locations globally, a 69-feet floating LED screen has been installed at Saryu Ghat for the devotees in Ayodhya.
  • Company’s Innovation: A Gujarat-based company created India’s largest floating screen, measuring 69 feet in length and 16 feet in height, offering an immersive viewing experience.
