Imphal, Nov 16: Manipur police are intensifying search operations in vulnerable areas of Kakching and Kangpokpi districts, installing 135 checkpoints across different districts, both in the hills and the valley.

The security measures aim to curb violations, leading to the detention of 1051 individuals across various districts.

Stringent security measures have been implemented in all vulnerable locations, with security convoys ensuring the free and safe movement of vehicles in sensitive stretches.

Security forces have facilitated the movement of 252 vehicles along NH-37 and 246 vehicles along NH-2, specifically those carrying essential items. The focus on detentions and increased security measures reflects the state’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
