Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: President Droupadi Murmu is set to make two visits to her home state of Odisha in November, according to officials.
The first visit, scheduled from November 20-22, will include a 32-km train journey from Badampahar railway station to Rairangpur, her native place in Mayurbhanj district. This marks her third visit to the state since assuming office in July last year.
During her first visit, President Murmu will participate in the All India Santali Writers’ Conference at Baripada on November 20. The next day, she will inaugurate three new trains and virtually open the new Rairangpur postal division.

Additionally, the President will release a commemorative special cover and virtually inaugurate various projects of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. She will also attend the 15th annual convocation of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, as the chief guest.
On November 22, President Murmu will be the chief guest at the launch of the ‘National Education Campaign — Rising India through Spiritual Empowerment’ organized by Brahma Kumaris at Sambalpur.
During her second visit, scheduled for November 26-27, President Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar and participate in the ‘Boita Bandan Ustav’ organized by the Paradip Port Authority. Chief Secretary P K Jena conducted a preparatory meeting with top officials, including the development commissioner, DGP, home secretary, state intelligence chief, revenue divisional commissioners, and district collectors, in anticipation of the President’s visit.
