Manipur CM hands over laptops to administrative secretaries

Manipur, Dec 5: Manipur CM N Biren handed over laptops to administrative secretaries in a function held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Laptops were distributed to the officials for e-office roll-out in various departments of the state by Manipur CM. Speaking on the occasion, Biren appreciated the officials for their Initiatives and committed services even during the hard times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was through the dedication of officials that the state has been able to overcome all difficult times and has achieved great performance in most sectors, he said.

Mentioning that good governance lies in the happiness of its subjects, Biren said that the state government is always working for inclusive development and stressed the need to provide internet connectivity to the remotest areas of the state so that all welfare schemes and services could reach each and every targeted group.

He further directed the administrative secretaries present at the event to complete all pending works before the year-end and to ensure regular attendance at their respective offices.

It may be mentioned that e-office Manipur was launched by the GM on September 8, 2020, to speed up the processing of files and help in maintaining transparency in governance.

In the 1st phase of e-office implementation, 62 departments got on-boarded, 988 users enrolled, and 45,350 e-Dak created along with 15,144 e-Files.

In the 2nd Phase implementation, 74 Directorates/Societies/Agencies are on-boarded one-office platform, and by the end of this year, all government offices will be on-boarded.

GAD minister Vungzagin Valte, additional chief secretaries Letkhogin Haokip and V Vumlunmang were also present at the distribution program among others.
