One of the primary areas of focus for the government has been the key entry points into Manipur, particularly Mao Gate and Jiribam, which are under intensified surveillance.

These locations serve as critical checkpoints for monitoring any suspicious activities or unauthorized crossings.

According to the Chief Minister, the state has deployed additional resources and enhanced security measures at these entry points to ensure that the threat of illegal migration is addressed swiftly and effectively.

The Chief Minister also called on the citizens of Manipur to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities that could be linked to illegal migration.

“We urge the people of Manipur to stay alert and promptly report any suspicious activities. Together, we must act responsibly to protect the indigenous communities and uphold the integrity of our state,” Singh said.

In his statement, Singh highlighted the importance of safeguarding the interests of indigenous communities in Manipur, ensuring that external factors do not impact the local population.

He reiterated that protecting the state’s borders and maintaining the demographic balance is a top priority for his government.

Increased security efforts and collaboration between law enforcement agencies are expected to prevent potential threats from materializing.

The administration is also working on long-term strategies to ensure that Manipur remains insulated from the growing regional concerns surrounding illegal migration.

By encouraging active participation from the public, the Chief Minister aims to foster a collective approach to securing the state’s future.

With these measures, Manipur is working towards preventing unauthorized or illegal migration from affecting its social and cultural fabric.
