Imphal, Oct 19: The Blooming Flower Children’s Foundation School in Kalinagar Hmar Veng, Jiribam, was set on fire by unidentified attackers at around 4:10 a.m. on October 18.
Established in 1997 and owned by Rev. Benjamin Shakum, the school has been a beacon of quality education in the region, known for its excellent academic performance. While no casualties were reported, the fire caused extensive damage to the building.
Rev. Shakum expressed his sorrow, stating, “This is more than an attack on a school—it’s an assault on the values of unity and progress that we stand for.”

The Hmar Inpui General Headquarters condemned the arson as a deliberate attempt to destabilize the Hmar community and disrupt education.
