Imphal, Sept 14: Manipur police conducted a series of search operations aimed at enhancing security measures and curbing violations within the state on September 14. During these operations, law enforcement achieved notable outcomes, including the recovery of arms and the dismantling of a bunker.

The search operations were strategically conducted in several districts, specifically targeting the fringe and vulnerable areas of Thoubal, Imphal East, Imphal-West, Kakching, Churachandpur, and Kangpokpi. As a result, an arm was successfully recovered in Thoubal, and a bunker was dismantled in Kangpokpi district.

To further strengthen security across Manipur, a significant effort was made to establish a network of checkpoints and nakas. In total, 128 such checkpoints were strategically positioned throughout various districts, covering both the hilly and valley regions of the state.

In conjunction with these security measures, the Manipur Police took proactive steps to detain individuals in connection with various violations across the state. A total of 1853 persons were apprehended, underlining the commitment of law enforcement to maintain peace and uphold the law.

These efforts reflect the ongoing commitment of law enforcement agencies to safeguard the region and address any threats to peace and order.
