Imphal, Sept 26: The bodies of two missing students from Manipur, Hijam Linthoingambi (17) and Phijam Hemjit (20), have been discovered after they were reported missing since July 6, 2023. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had already initiated an investigation into their disappearance on August 28.

The Manipur government, responding to the disturbing development, has promised swift and resolute action. The case has been handed over to the CBI, and efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Disturbing images of the two students sitting in what appears to be a makeshift jungle camp of an armed group have gone viral on social media. The revelation of these photos has shocked the public and intensified the urgency of the investigation.
