Delhi, May 28: In a startling turn of events, mild earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and its surrounding regions on Sunday. Fortunately, no immediate reports of injuries or damage have been recorded. According to seismologists, the tremors occurred around 11:23 am and lasted for a few seconds, leaving residents shaken but unharmed.

In a related event, India’s National Center for Seismology reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 near Fayzabad, Afghanistan, on Sunday morning.

The epicenter of the earthquake was identified as being 79 kilometers southeast of Fayzabad. The seismic event took place at 11:19 AM IST, with the epicenter located at a depth of 220 kilometers below the surface.
