Tiranga Yatra

1. Mizoram’s Art and Culture Department organized a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Aizawl as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
2. 800 students participated in the march, carrying the Tricolour through different parts of the city.
3. Students from Govt. Mamawii, JL, and Central Higher Secondary Schools led the march from southern Aizawl.


Aizawl, Aug 12: As part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign celebrating India’s Independence, Mizoram’s Art and Culture Department organized a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Aizawl on Monday.

The event saw 800 students marching with the Tricolour from different parts of the city. Students from Govt. Mamawii Higher Secondary School, Govt. JL Higher Secondary School, and Govt.

Central Higher Secondary School marched from southern Aizawl, while students from Govt. Chaltlang Higher Secondary School and Govt. Mizo Higher Secondary School joined from the northern side, converging at Vanapa Hall.

At Vanapa Hall, Aizawl district Deputy Commissioner Er. Lalhriatpuia led a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Pledge,’ emphasizing the Yatra’s role in promoting unity and national integrity among India’s diverse communities.

The celebration will continue with a ‘Tiranga Concert’ at Vanapa Hall on Tuesday.
