1. Mizoram Governor, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, highlights the transformative nature of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in his address.
2. The VBSY initiative aims to contribute to the progress of Mizoram and the nation as a whole, according to Dr. Kambhampati.
3. The primary objective is to reach vulnerable, eligible individuals who have not availed various schemes by disseminating information and generating awareness.


Aizawl, Jan 16: The Mizoram Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati addresses by underlining the essence of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a visionary initiative that holds the promise of transforming our Mizoram and contributing to the progress of the nation as a whole.

He also reiterated the main objective of this mega saturation drive across the country with the aim of ‘Reaching the unreached’ vulnerable people, who are eligible under various schemes but have not availed the benefit so far, by dissemination of information and generating awareness about schemes and enrolment of potential beneficiaries.

In the context of the state, the Governor spoke of how he has been involved in the awareness campaign to ensure all the beneficial central schemes are thoroughly known and availed by the target beneficiaries, out of whom the majority is yet to understand the availability of these welfare schemes.

To ensure the state plays its part in the Viksit Bharat by 2047, he urged the officials, the authorities of various educational institutions and the students to get involved through awareness campaigns in a mission mode. The Governor also expressed his delight at the state having made significant strides in the direction of the intended outcomes of the Yatra.

Till 15th January 2024, a total of 344 event locations have been covered, which have seen participation of 30,561 people. Of these 344, 124 Gram Panchayats have received Ayushman Bharat Card Saturation.

Har Ghar Jal saturation is reported in 127 Gram Panchayat. 167 Gram Panchayats have achieved the ODF Plus model, and 49 Gram Panchayats have completed 100% digitisation of land records.

A total of 13096 new My Bharat Volunteer registrations have been done.

Also, 5531 new Ayushman Bharat Cards were issued in these events. 1057 women were given different awards, along with 857 awards to students, 266 awards to local sports persons and 46 awards to Local artists.

Smt Nazuk Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District chaired the VBSY – Urban program proceeding.

The event started with the screening of the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the segment of Meri Kahaani Meri Zubaani, the participants shared their experiences and their success stories.

In this program, there was a session on Krishi Activities wherein the Governor interacted with the progressive farmers on PM-KISAN & Soil Card. In the last segment of the program, the officials apprised the audience of the achievements of GP-ODF Plus status, saturation of Jal Jeevan Mission, etc.

After the program was concluded the organizers continued with the On-Spot Services which included Health Camps (TB screening and Sickle Cell Anemia screening in Tribal Areas), PM Ujjwala new enrolment, Aaadhar enrollment.
