Lepakshi, Jan 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi showcased his spiritual side by reciting the ‘Shri Ram Jai Ram’ bhajan at the Veerbhadra Temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh.

During his two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, PM Modi, adorned in traditional attire, also immersed himself in verses from the Ranganatha Ramayan in Telugu.

The Veerbhadra Temple in Lepakshi holds historical significance rooted in the Ramayana, believed to be the site where the wounded Jatayu fell after battling with Ravana during the abduction of Goddess Sita.

It is said that Jatayu informed Lord Rama about Sita being taken south by Ravana before attaining Moksha.

This visit follows PM Modi’s recent stop at the Shree Kala Ram Mandir in Nashik, where he participated in prayers, listened to verses about Ayodhya Aagman of Bhagwan Ram from Ramayan in Marathi, and joined in Bhajan recitation.
