Mumbai, Jan 16: IndiGo has recently initiated direct flight services between Mumbai and Ayodhya, strategically timed before the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for Lord Ram Lalla at the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The airline will operate two daily flights connecting the two cities. The newly inaugurated Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya has garnered increased connectivity with major cities, including Delhi and Ahmedabad.

According to the flight schedule on the IndiGo Airlines website, flight 6E 5378 from Mumbai to Ayodhya will depart at 12:30 pm, while flight 6E 5379 will take off at 3:15 pm.

These additions complement the existing direct flights from Delhi and Ahmedabad to Ayodhya.

Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed the airline’s satisfaction with the new route, stating, “We are pleased to commence direct flights between Mumbai and Ayodhya. With this, we have connected 3 major cities (Delhi, Ahmedabad, and now Mumbai) to Ayodhya within weeks of the airport’s inauguration. Our customers will now have multiple options connecting to Ayodhya from our extensive 6E network, within India as well as overseas.”

The upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22, which will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to draw attention from across the nation.

The ceremony, to be conducted by priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi, is scheduled to commence at 12:20 pm, concluding by 1 pm on January 22.

The installation will feature an idol of Ram Lalla crafted by Mysore-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj.

The seven-day rituals for the consecration ceremony have already begun, encompassing various forms of puja.

A divine bath for the deity of Ram Lalla, utilizing 125 urns, is slated for January 21.

Following the significant event on January 22, the Ram temple will be open for worship by devotees, and it is anticipated that thousands of pilgrims and tourists from all over India will visit the temple daily.
