1. Mizoram Governor, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, initiates the launch of 17 IEC mobile vans for the VBSY in Aizawl.

Aizawl, Dec 17: Mizoram Governor, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, flagged off 17 Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) mobile vans as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) during an event at the MINECO Open Gym in Aizawl.

The launch event in Aizawl followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of the VBSY scheme, which targets Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram.

Overseen by Dr. Lalmalsawma Pachuau, Secretary of the Planning & Programme Implementation Dept. and State Nodal Officer for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Aizawl event drew participation from various stakeholder departments and selected beneficiaries.

The primary objective of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to ensure the complete saturation of welfare schemes through extensive outreach efforts.

The 17 IEC mobile vans will be strategically deployed, with three assigned to the Aizawl district, two to the Lunglei district, and one each to the remaining nine districts. Additionally, there is a spare van and a recovery van on standby.

To facilitate the smooth implementation of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a district-level committee has been formed, and schedules for outreach activities have been finalized. The yatra is set to conclude on January 26th, 2024.
