Aizawl, Feb 14: The NGO Coordination Committee convened at the Central YMA Committee Room, where they decided to stage a protest against the closure of the India-Myanmar border and the termination of the Free Movement Regime (FMR).
Chaired by Pu Lalhmachhuana, President of CYMA and Chairman of NGOCC, the meeting centered on the memorandum submitted to the Union Home Minister urging the abolition of FMR and Border Fencing.

Subsequently, the committee outlined plans for a protest rally scheduled for February 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Vanapa Hall.
Comprising various non-governmental organizations, the NGO Coordination Committee includes influential groups like the Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA), Mizo Students’ Union, Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), MHIP (Mizo Women’s Front), and MUP (Mizo Elders Association).
