Aizawl, March 19: A joint operation conducted by Mizoram Police and Assam Rifles resulted in the seizure of 198 soap cases containing 2.393 kilograms of heroin, valued at Rs 71,79,000.
The contraband was confiscated from two individuals, B. Liansanga (45) and R. Malsawmthara (35), during the operation.
Additionally, in a separate operation, authorities intercepted a couple, identified as Biakrema (29) and Ramthazuali (28), and seized 110 gelatin sticks weighing 14.084 kilograms along with 110 detonators.
