13-inch-long bananas

Bhopal, May 24: 13-inch-long bananas have grown in the field of Madhya Pradesh. The banana grown in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh is making its mark in the country as well as abroad. Here, 13-inch-long bananas have grown in a farmer’s field.

Horticulture scientist DK Jain of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra located in Taloon is also surprised to see the length of the banana. He said that till now only 8 to 9 inches long bananas were grown in this district, but this is the first case.

Arvind Jat, a farmer of Bagud village had planted a banana crop on 6.15 acres of land. The average length of these bananas is 13 inches and the weight of one banana is about 250 grams. The farmer told that the employees of Ambani’s Reliance Company, who came from Delhi last week, bought bananas from him. The man is also selling these bananas outside India.
