Mukesh Ambani

Mumbai, Oct 29: Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, has been targeted with another threat demanding a substantial sum of money, which has now increased to Rs 200 crore. This incident follows a previous threat in which an anonymous sender demanded Rs 20 crore and threatened Ambani’s life.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, has been confronted with a second threat, this time conveyed via his company email. The anonymous sender has escalated their demands, now insisting on a staggering Rs 200 crore. This significant increase from the initial extortion demand of Rs 20 crore in the prior threat can be attributed to the absence of a response to the initial communication.

In response to these alarming threats, Ambani’s security personnel have taken swift action, reporting the incidents to the police. An FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against an unidentified individual in connection with the menacing threats.

The charges against this unknown sender encompass sections 387 and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Section 387 pertains to putting a person in fear of death with the intent to commit extortion, while section 506 (2) addresses the issue of criminal intimidation.

The initial threat directed at Mukesh Ambani, which demanded Rs 20 crore to spare his life, was dispatched to his company email address by the unidentified sender. In response to the lack of response to this initial communication, the sender significantly raised the stakes by demanding Rs 200 crore in the recent threat.

The email explicitly stated, “You have not responded to our email. Now the amount is Rs 200 crore, otherwise the death warrant is signed.”

The earlier threat was equally ominous, with the sender warning, “If you don’t give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India.”

In light of these threats, law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the matter to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. The safety and security of Mukesh Ambani remain of paramount concern as these investigations proceed.
