1. DEO Namchi and Nodal Officer (ETPBS) received the ninth batch of postal ballots on May 22.
2. 20 postal ballots were handed over, bringing the total to 388 for Namchi District.

Gangtok, May 22: On May 22, the District Electoral Officer (DEO) Namchi and the Nodal Officer (ETPBS) at the District Administrative Centre, Namchi, received the ninth batch of postal ballots from service voters through the Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS).
A total of 20 postal ballots were handed over to the postal official, bringing the cumulative count of postal ballots received for all Assembly Constituencies (ACs) under Namchi District to 388.
Upon arrival, the postal ballots were segregated and securely stored in the ETPBS boxes by the respective Returning Officers (ROs) of the concerned ACs.
The entire process was conducted under video surveillance as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, in the presence of election agents representing various political parties.

Previously, on May 21, the Soreng district also received its 20th batch of postal ballots from service voters. The Soreng Post Office delivered a total of six postal ballots to the district.
These postal ballots were handed over to Mrs. Rajni Pega, the Nodal Officer, by an official from the Soreng Post Office.
The transfer occurred in the presence of Ms. Yishey D. Yongda, the DEO-cum-DC, Mr. Gideon Lepcha, SDM (Mangalbaria), and election agents representing various political parties.
