Nandigram incident that left Mamata injured was ‘accident, not attack’: Report

Bengal, March 13: The alleged attack in Nandigram that resulted in an injury to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday was an accident, according to preliminary police findings submitted to the Election Commission.

Acceding to a source, the report says that the incident was “not an attack.”

Supervisor Vivek Dubey and Special Supervisor Ajay Nayak report have filed a report with the Election Commission of India, as per the source.

The observer report said the chief minister’s injury was an accident.

Observers deny the possibility of an attack, the chief minister was in the midst of heavy security, with no evidence of the attack.

Mamata Banerjee had alleged Wednesday evening that an attack by four-five men in Nandigram where she was pushed and banged on the door of her car, caused injuries to her.
