Kohima, April 18: The National Highway 29, linking Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland, will undergo restoration works starting from April 22, 2024, to May 11, 2024.
This closure affects the 4-lane road (PKG-I) section from Ch. 123.840 to Ch. 129. The restoration aims to remove overhanging rocks and enhance safety measures ahead of the monsoon season.
To facilitate these safety enhancements, the highway will be closed daily from 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM. All traffic, including light and heavy vehicles, will be diverted through 7th Mile Jn – Pimla – Mhainamtsi Jharnapani during this period.
