One killed after an oil tanker broke bridge railings and fell into Brahmaputra river

Guwahati, 28th October: One person killed and one injured after an oil tanker fell into river Brahmaputra by smashing through a bridge railings in Assam’s Sonitpur district on Wednesday.

According to the reports, the oil tanker bearing registration number AS-2BC-4791 skidded off the road and broke the safety railings of Kaliabhomora bridge and it fell into river Brahmaputra.

The driver of the oil tanker was killed on the spot and one more person travelling in the tanker injured in the incident.

The deceased person was identified as Arjun Roy.

The injured person was rushed to Tezpur Medical College & Hospital.
