Guwahati, Feb 04: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his anticipation that the Kamakhya Divyalok Pariyojana would significantly enhance tourism in Assam. The ambitious project, estimated at Rs 498 crore, aims to provide world-class amenities to pilgrims visiting the revered Kamakhya temple.

During his address, PM Modi emphasized the positive impact the project would have on devotees, enhancing their overall experience at the temple. He mentioned his recent visits to various Teertha places across the country and highlighted the monumental inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Now, standing at the gates of Ma Kamakhya, he expressed his delight in laying the foundation for the Kamakhya Divyalok Pariyojana.

The Prime Minister envisages that once the project is complete, it will not only bring immense joy to devotees but also attract a higher number of pilgrims annually.

The Kamakhya Divyalok Pariyojana, being sanctioned under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North Eastern Region (PM-DevINE) scheme, aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and facilities in the region.
