New Delhi, March 08: Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the inaugural National Creators Award at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, honoring exceptional individuals across various fields on Friday.
The award ceremony, overseen by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), aimed to acknowledge outstanding contributions in storytelling, social advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming.
The National Creators Award serves as a platform to recognize creativity’s power to instigate positive change.
According to the PMO statement, the award garnered remarkable public engagement, with over 1.5 lakh nominations across 20 categories received in the initial phase.
Subsequently, approximately 10 lakh votes were cast during the voting phase for digital creators in diverse award categories.
Among the 23 winners, including three international creators, the selection process was indicative of widespread public participation, affirming that the recipients truly reflect the people’s choice.
The winners encompassed a diverse range of fields, demonstrating creativity’s multifaceted impact on society.
