New Delhi, Feb 02: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, shared a light moment in the Rajya Sabha when he laughed at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remark, “Abki Baar, 400 Paar” (This time, above 400), referring to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) seat count in the upcoming elections.

The video of Kharge’s statement has gone viral on social media, particularly on the BJP’s official handles.

In the shared clip, Kharge is heard addressing the Treasury bench, saying, “You have the majority, with 330-334 seats. This time, it will be above 400.”

The remark elicited laughter from those present on the Treasury bench, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP has set ambitious goals for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, aiming to surpass its previous performance of 303 seats in 2019.

The BJP, led by Jagat Prakash Nadda, has already kicked off its election campaign with a theme song highlighting the achievements of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

The song, titled “Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hain” (We do not spin dreams but weave reality, which is why people choose Modi), was launched by Nadda in the presence of the Prime Minister on January 26.

Reflecting on the conditions in the country a decade ago, Prime Minister Modi stated, “The conditions that prevailed in the country 10-12 years ago made the future look bleak. You may not even be aware of the conditions of those times. The generation before 2014 had given up hope about the possibilities we are talking about today.”

The BJP, having already repealed Article 370 and opened the Ram temple to the public, is optimistic about the upcoming elections. The party aims not only to secure a third term for PM Modi but also to strengthen its grip on the Lok Sabha.

In the 2019 elections, the BJP coined the slogan ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’ (Once more, Modi government) to seek a second term for the NDA administration.
