Speaking in a press conference in Dhaka on Saturday, she expressed the significance of a stable democracy for a nation’s progress and highlighted Bangladesh’s achievements since 2009.

“Our country is sovereign and independent. We may be a small country, but we have a big population. We have established people’s democratic rights. I want to make sure that democracy should continue in this country,” Hasina remarked, underlining the foundational role of democratic principles in upholding citizens’ rights.
