Agartala, March 02: Tripura Election Results 2023: Union minister Pratima Bhoumik won from the Dhanpur constituency in the Sepahijala district. Bhoumik won by around 800 votes margin. This is the same seat where the former Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Sarkar, has been the traditional seat for the longest time of the Left Front.
“The people of Dhampur themselves have freed themselves from the rule of CPM and this is only possible by the Modi Government. Greetings to the people of Dhanpur and the people of Tripura has again established the double-engineered government of Modiji. The vows that were taken in 2018 will continue and we will continue the betterment of the people including the poor by following Sabka Sath Sabka Bikas. Through the people, I would like to invite the people of the BJP. The people of Tripura are with us and we promised to be with them in their tough and smooth situations. The trap that CPM has built did not succeed because the people have elected us and we will fulfill all the promises that are taken,” said Pratima Bhoumik after winning the election.
Bhoumik is the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment. In 2021, she became the first Union Minister from Tripura in the second Modi cabinet. She is serving as MoS in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government.
She contested her first election in 1998 against former Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Sarkar and got 12% votes. In 2003, she became the district head of the undivided Sipahijala district.

In 2019 he contested Lok Sabha Election from 01 Tripura West Parliamentary Constituency and won the election with a margin of 3 lakh 5 thousand votes.
In 2018 she again contested from the Dhanpur constituency against the then Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and lost the election by a very narrow margin. But once again Pratima Bhoumik is contesting from the Dhanpur assembly constituency. Pratima Bhoumik, fondly called Didi of Tripura, still prefers to live like a simple woman.
But this time something different is being seen in the entire Dhanpur, this year there is only one slogan – “Dhanpur nijheer meyekei chayee” (This time Dhanpur wants its daughter).
