Gangtok, June 10: Prem Singh Tamang, the President of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), took the oath as Chief Minister of Sikkim on Monday.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath at a ceremony held in Paljor Stadium. Tamang, aged 56, assumed office for his second consecutive term.

The SKM secured a landslide victory, winning 31 out of 32 seats in the assembly elections.
The opposition party, Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), which had governed the state for 25 consecutive years until 2019, secured only one seat.
