Jaipur, Nov 27: In the recently conducted assembly elections in Rajasthan, the voter turnout stood at 75.45%, marking a slight increase of 0.73% compared to the 2018 polls, according to election data. The state witnessed voting across 199 out of 200 assembly constituencies on Saturday. In the previous elections in 2018, the voter turnout was recorded at 74.72%.

Analyzing the data, it was observed that rural areas had a higher voter turnout compared to urban areas. Additionally, the number of female voters surpassed that of male voters. The Chief Election Officer, Praveen Gupta, highlighted the trend of higher female turnout, stating that 74.72% of women voted this time, compared to 74.67% in 2018. On the other hand, male turnout saw a decline at 74.53%, down from 74.75% in the previous elections.

The results of the elections, conducted across 51,756 polling stations, are scheduled to be announced on December 3. Notable areas with high voter turnout include Jaisalmer’s Pokaran with 87.79%, Alwar’s Tijara with 86.11%, Chittorgarh’s Nimbahera with 85.58%, Banswara’s Ghatol with 85.35%, and Hanumangrah’s Nohar with 84.27%.

Conversely, Jalore’s Ahore recorded the lowest voting percentage at 61.24%, followed by Udaipur’s Marwar Junction at 61.29%, Pali’s Sumerpur with 61.44%, Jalore with 62.72%, and Karauli’s Todabhim with 63.50%, according to the election data.
