Ayodhya, Jan 18: The idol of Ram Lalla was ceremoniously brought into the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya during the early hours of Thursday.

The solemn occasion was marked by a special puja within the sanctum sanctorum, followed by the careful placement of the idol with the assistance of a crane, resonating with chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram.’

Key Points of the Event:

1. Puja Precedes Idol Placement: Before the idol’s revered placement, a special puja was conducted inside the sanctum sanctorum, underscoring the spiritual significance of the moment. The atmosphere echoed with devotional fervor as the idol was prepared for its installation.

2. Idol Transportation: The idol’s journey to the temple was facilitated through meticulously arranged transport, with the idol making its way in a truck. The careful transportation emphasized the reverence attached to the idol and the meticulous planning involved in every step of the process.

3. Seven-Day Rituals Leading to Consecration: In anticipation of the consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22, elaborate rituals spanning seven days are being conducted. A ‘Kalash Pujan,’ an essential ritual, took place on the preceding Wednesday, setting the stage for the consecration events.

4. ‘Pran Pratishtha’ Preparations in Full Swing: Preparations for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, which symbolizes the consecration of the idol, are in full swing. The rituals, overseen by 121 ‘acharyas,’ will continue until January 21.

On the consecration day, the minimum essential rituals required for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram Lalla idol will be observed.

5. ‘Pran Pratishtha’ Schedule: The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is scheduled to commence at 12:20 pm on January 22 and is expected to conclude by 1 pm. The meticulous planning ensures that the consecration event adheres to traditional practices, and the sacred rituals are conducted with precision.

6. Global Attendance and Chief Guest: The grand opening ceremony, slated for January 22, is expected to draw more than 7,000 attendees, including prominent figures from politics, industry, and religious leaders from across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to be the chief guest for the auspicious event. Additionally, nearly 100 representatives from various countries are anticipated to be present, adding an international dimension to the consecration ceremony.

7. Sculpted by Arun Yogiraj: The Ram Lalla idol, chosen for installation in the sanctum sanctorum, was sculpted by Arun Yogiraj, an artist based in Mysuru. His craftsmanship has contributed to the selection of an idol that embodies the spiritual essence of the revered deity.
