In Bihar and West Bengal, Chhath songs are very often heard throughout Mahaparv Chhath, which has started. In the meantime, Ranu Mandal is claimed to have sung the first Chhath song ever on social media.

In many parts of India during Chhath Mahaparv, there are different splendours to be seen. The festival is particularly popular in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Women revere the sixth mother during this three-day festival.

Numerous famous Bhojpuri singers provide Chhath songs for this special occasion. Throughout the year, Chhath songs are sung by the likes of Pawan Singh, Khesari Lal Yadav, Akshara Singh, and Sharda Sinha.
