Imphal, Aug 16: In a concerted effort to maintain peace and security in Manipur, security forces have recently made significant strides in recovering arms and ammunition from vulnerable areas. The ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of citizens and curb potential unrest have resulted in the discovery of arms and ammunition in the Bishnupur and Kangpokpi districts. In the last 24 hours, 11 arms and 78 ammunition were recovered in search operations conducted by the security forces.

These operations, meticulously carried out in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Bishnupur and Kangpokpi districts yielded fruitful results. Simultaneously, a total of 124 Nakas/Checkpoints have been established in various districts of Manipur, spanning both hill and valley regions.
