Arunachal, Nov 28: According to the Core Committee 50 Years Celebration, Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt will be the brand ambassador for Arunachal Pradesh’s 50-year celebration.
This has been affirmed by the committee on Saturday and the celebration is expected to be statewide for a month-long period beginning in January 2022.
The Bollywood actor, known crazily for his `Munna Bhai’ character will hold a media campaign for the celebration on November 29, upon his arrival in Mechukha in the Shi-Yomi district, the organisers said. Sanjay Dutt will also feature in a series of promotional video films to promote tourism in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
“In addition to that, Dutt will also engage with local youths in a series of initiatives on substance and drug abuse, and issues that cause a lot of concern in the state,” the release said.

According to the release, among the initiatives to be implemented by Dutt, are a series of initiatives on containing substance abuse and drugs. This is a very alarming issue, causing concern amongst the young people in the state.
Both Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, and Pasang Dorjee Sona, the Assembly Speaker, will attend the press campaign with Dutt in Mechukha on November 29, the sources added.
