Imphal, Nov 27: In a continued effort to ensure security in Manipur, the state police conducted search operations on November 26, focusing on fringe and vulnerable areas. The operations spanned districts such as Kakching, Bishnupur, Tamenglong, Jiribam, Imphal West, Thoubal, and Tengnoupal.

As part of the crackdown, 137 checkpoints were established across various districts. In Tamenglong district’s Phaitol village, three bunkers were dismantled during the operation.

The extensive efforts also included naka checking, resulting in the detention of 221 individuals across both hill and valley regions. The detainees were apprehended by Manipur police for various violations in different districts of the state. These measures aim to enhance security and maintain law and order in Manipur, particularly in vulnerable areas.
