Gangtok, May 11: The government of Sikkim has announced an advance increment scheme for state government employees who possess Sikkim subject certificates or certificates of identification.

This scheme is meant for those employees who have two or more surviving children. The announcement was made recently and the scheme will be effective from January 1, 2023.

According to the scheme, employees having two surviving children will be provided one advance increment, while those having three surviving children will get an additional increment. The scheme is not applicable for adopted children, and either spouse can claim the increment based on mutual understanding.

The state government has taken this step to support and encourage family planning among government employees. It is believed that this scheme will benefit a large number of employees who are struggling with the rising cost of living and other expenses.
