Dibrugarh, Aug 24: Students of Dibrugarh University stepped out on their college premises protesting in opposition to the administration’s decision to hike study fees.

The students from various courses accrued on the university’s administrative building, sloganeering in opposition to the government disturbing the rollback of fee hike and instead increase facilities for the university.

Some of the scholars even blocked the automobile of Vice Chancellor Jiten Hazarika once they noticed him stepping out of his workplace and demanded the college government to roll returned the rate hike.

The college students retaining placards below the banner of the university students’ union were protesting seeing that the day passed night disturbing the government to officially meet them and guarantee them of canceling the rate hike.

As consistent with reports, Dibrugarh University has hiked the charges for B.Ed direction upto 34.27%, for M.Ed upto 34.27%, for M.A. upto 33%, M.Sc 33% and M.A Education 56.33%.
