Noida, Aug 24: In a shocking incident reported from Noida in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a man from Arunachal Pradesh working for a restaurant has alleged that he was thrashed by local residents, who also hurled racial slurs at him.

The 21-year-old is a resident of Arunachal Pradesh and belongs to the Chakma community.

Police stated that they’d arrested the accused right after the incident that came. However, the accused denied that the quarrel has something to do with the race of the victim.

The victim has been recognized as Gyana Ranjan Chakma, a local of the Changlang district of Arunachal. Chakma claimed injury in the head during the attack. He stated his community dwelling in Salarpur village at Sector 39 has been dwelling in worry after the assault, consistent with a report.

The victim, who works at DLF Mall, stated he become out in Salarpur village along with two friends when 7-8 ‘drunk’ local residents confronted them.

Chakma stated they have been talking in their local language and laughing but the accused took offense. “They thought we have been mocking them however that become now no longer the case,” stated Chakma.

Chakma stated while he left for his rented accommodation, the accused observed him and barged into his room. Chakma stated one of the accused become associated with the owner who too joined withinside the assault with the opposite accused.

The victim’s friend has been additionally thrashed once they attempted to keep him. The sufferer stated the assault become racially motivated.
