The Arunachal Justice Forum had filed a petition before the Court seeking investigation against the Arunachal Pradesh government and Chief Minister Pema Khandu for their involvement in alleged misused funds granted to various departments, but the apex court disposed of the application.

Earlier, the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) had made wild allegations against Arunachal CM Pema Khandu that the Chief Minister and his relatives indulged in a multi-crore rupees scam. It also mentioned that the CM had misused funds allocated to various departments.
