Itanagar, March 15: Thousands of BJP supporters from Kurung Kumey district warmly greeted Pani Taram, the BJP candidate for the Koloriang assembly constituency near the Indo-China border. Taram is set to challenge the 15-year incumbent MLA Lokam Tassar.

With prior experience as the MLA for Koloriang from 2014 to 2019 and a background in horticulture, Taram brings both administrative expertise and a deep understanding of the constituency’s needs.

Addressing the media, Taram outlined his vision for Koloriang‘s development, emphasizing its potential in tourism and culture.

He highlighted the constituency’s unique features, such as its lush flora and fauna, dubbing it the “new Cherrapunjee of Northeast India.”

Despite facing challenges like heavy snowfall and rainfall, Taram expressed his determination to turn Koloriang into a model constituency. “I am committed to representing all constituents, regardless of their political affiliations,” Taram affirmed.

“My leadership is inclusive, and I urge all BJP leaders in the constituency to support my candidacy. Together, we can address long-standing issues like electoral malpractices and uphold the rule of law.”
