Agartala, Feb 25: Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya asserted on Sunday that the recent discussions between the Congress and Tipra Motha, the principal opposition party in Tripura, would not pose a challenge for the BJP in state politics.
Bhattacharya emphasized that the BJP is always prepared to address any developments, noting that the party’s focus remains on development and welfare initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha.
Speaking to the media following PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, Bhattacharya acknowledged learning about the talks between Congress and Tipra Motha through the media, although he clarified that he had no specific information about the discussions.
He highlighted the BJP’s commitment to serving the people of Tripura, citing recent initiatives such as a health insurance scheme launched by the Chief Minister, providing medical benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh to all citizens.

Bhattacharya emphasized the BJP’s readiness and support from the people despite challenges faced during elections.
Responding to inquiries about ongoing dialogue with Tipra Motha within the BJP, Bhattacharya refrained from commenting, stating that only top leaders could provide information on the matter.
Reflecting on Mann Ki Baat, he expressed gratitude for having listened to the episode with party workers in Ramnagar, underscoring PM Modi’s emphasis on working for the welfare of all segments of society, especially the marginalized.
He reiterated PM Modi’s call for providing government benefits to the last person in society as a guiding principle for governance.
