Agartala, Nov 05: In Tripura’s Sabroom area, security forces arrested five individuals, including two Bangladeshi nationals, for illegally crossing the international border, according to police.
Border Security Force (BSF) personnel noticed the group attempting to cross into India at Jalkumba village, leading to their arrest.
Sabroom Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nityananda Sarkar said, “Five people—three Indians and two Bangladeshi nationals—were detained for illegally crossing the border. An FIR has been filed at Sabroom police station.”

Sarkar added that the three Indian nationals had traveled to Bangladesh to visit a close relative but became stranded due to regional unrest.
The group attempted to return to Sabroom as conditions improved, leading to their apprehension.
