Gangtok, Nov 04: On November 4, Sikkim’s Minister of Road & Bridges, N.B. Dahal, announced significant infrastructure upgrades for Rabongla, a key tourism destination.

This initiative aligns with Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang’s BiPaSa (Bijuli, Pani, Sadak) vision.

During a site inspection with Barfung MLA Riksal Dorjee Bhutia and Assistant Engineer Kinga Chopel Bhutia from Rabongla’s PWD, Minister Dahal reviewed the area’s infrastructure needs.

He ordered immediate road carpeting on the busy Damthang to Rabongla stretch, emphasizing the role of safe, well-maintained roads in supporting tourism and easing local travel.

A planned road expansion at Putali Vir aims to handle the region’s growing traffic more efficiently.

Minister Dahal assured locals that work orders for these projects would be issued within the next one to two months.

These upgrades reinforce the state’s commitment to the BiPaSa initiative, aiming to enhance Sikkim’s infrastructure for economic growth and a better tourism experience in its picturesque locales.
