Agartala, Sept 30: In anticipation of the 12-hour bandh (strike) called by Tipra Motha in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), the state government has issued directives for all offices in the district council to operate as usual. Additionally, the Director General of Police has been tasked with ensuring proper law and order arrangements.

The government’s order, issued one day before the scheduled bandh on September 30, 2023, states that it is imperative for all offices, government undertakings, and organizations under the State Government in the district council area to function normally on the day of the bandh. Furthermore, government employees and employees of such undertakings and organizations are expected to carry out their duties as usual on that day.

The order emphasizes that any violation of these instructions by government employees and employees of relevant undertakings and organizations will be taken seriously.

All Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Special Secretaries, and Heads of Departments have been requested to communicate these instructions to all employees under their administrative control.

A report regarding attendance in different offices, undertakings, and organizations on the day of the bandh must be submitted to the General Administration (AR) Department by 12:00 noon on September 30.

In addition to ensuring normal office functioning, the government has also requested the Director General of Police to make adequate law and order arrangements on the day of the bandh in all government offices located in the district council areas. The police have been instructed to take all necessary precautionary measures to maintain peace and security during the bandh period.
